Crosswoods has everything and more.... |
Don't Worry if Your Game is Crappy!
It was time to begin heading South after Emily Greens, and just a short drive through the Northwoods of the Brainerd, Minnesota area, we came to one of the most popular summer lake destinations, Crosslake.
Don't let the headline of this blog fool you, just because one of their most popular holes has the original outhouse from the mid 1900's still standing, the 27 stunning holes are cut into a wildlife preserve. On any given day you will see deer, birds, beavers and even bear, and with its incredible price point of $39 with cart on most days, it's no wonder they sometimes have 400 rounds of play a day!
Amazing views at Crosswoods |
Crosswoods opened in in 1968 as a mini golf course by current owner Mike Stones father, and in the 1980's the first 9-hole track was constructed. Over the next 25 years, two more nine hole courses were built giving Crosswoods 27 holes and 3 different 18 hole configurations.
