Today we make our way a little farther North to Emily Minnesota as we search for a track called Emily Greens. Locates 35 miles Northwest of the Brainerd Lakes area this 18 hole track is one of the most affordable rounds in the area, and was voted "Best of Brainerd Lakes Area" two years in a row in 2018 & 2019. That value I was talking about earlier, $24 plus cart fee for 18, and if you are a senior, it's just $17 plus cart fee!

Emily Greens is the home of the largest single green in the state. On #17, the sign says it's 16,750 square feet, however the owner we interviewed said they have to change the sign because now it is an amazing 19,750 square feet!

Playing with Steve and Russ from Minnesota on this day was an enjoyable round on the anniversary of my father's passing a year earlier on August 24th. Only a couple of us hit the green in two, but what you don't know is your tee shot needs to be far enough to get past a heavy tree line to have a shot at this monster green in two, so be very aware of that first shot!

Tough to miss this in regulation

If you are looking for a great round in Minnesota and are worried about "Old Man Winter" have no fear, as Emily Greens rarely closes until November, but bundle up for a round in that month. October golf could be your best time to play as the fall colors are everywhere, and it's a round you will never forget.
